Summer Art Class Information.
Classes for students ages 9-16. Spend a week in a working artist's studio. Each week of classes will focus on either drawing and painting or sculpture and mask making. Classes are 9-12 or 9-5 weekly. Materials, instruction, demonstrations and coaching are included. Bring your lunch/snacks and drinks.
Classes are small: 2-6 students for plenty of personal attention. You'll complete at least one project by the end of the week. Martin's studio is filled with finished paintings, sculptures and many more works in progress which encourage questions and learning.
"Curiosity is the most important skill an artist can learn." Chas guides participants to see and create their own solutions. Martin has instructed art at all levels from 4th grade through continuing education. (See bio) His most recent professional development has been with RACC (Regional Arts & Culture Council) and Teaching Artist Studio.
PARENT FEEDBACK"Chas has a way of gently inspiring and encouraging children to be brave enough to explore their creativity and to enjoy the process regardless of the end result."
