Martin's works are immediately recognizabale by his dynamic gestures, unique style and bold use of color. His sculpture concepts are an extension of themes in his watercolor and acrylic paintings. His Portland, Oregon studio is both a workspace and gallery of finished artworks, sketches, and works in progress.

Wilderness, both physical and mental, is a primary source of inspiration. Martin’s work combines natural forms with concepts drawn from physics, mysticism, and spirituality to create images that transcend time, gender, religion, race, politics (with exceptions), and culture. Through the exploration of primal imagery, his art invites self-reflection and conversation.
